The Sales of Packaged Sweets from FMCG Stores are consistent throughout the year with big brands such as Haldirams and Bikano dominating the category. Between Dussera and Diwali, the sales of this category shot up by 1.5x to 4x across the country.

The biggest spike in the sale of Indian sweets from grocery stores was seen in Kolkata, where the sales grew by 4x during the festive period. Other big jumps were seen in the North and West of the country, with Lucknow, Delhi, Agra, Bhopal, and Vadodara zooming by more than 2.5x.

The lowest change was seen in Southern cities such as Hyderabad, Kochi, and Chennai where the change was limited to a rise of 1.1x to 1.5x.
